This is your week

Updated: Feb 25, 2018

Its so easy to give up before you even get started. This week I want you to start and don't look back!!

Every girl would love to be their ideal weight and be fully healthy. Can everyone achieve this goal? Yes!! Although lots of people find it hard to reach their personal goals, anything is possible if you have an optimistic and positive outlook on life and you’re willing to put in the time and consistent effort needed.

It’s easy to begin the day very positively, but by the end of the day after work or school, it’s easy to be a victim of procrastination. Nobody said that achieving anything or being disciplined was easy. It’s the fact that it challenges us that makes it even more worth it.

The secret to success is not overworking ourselves but being in control of the time you do have and your thinking or outlook on life. You do have the time, you just have to move things around and figure it out. It’s not a chore, it’s an opportunity to be healthier. Whether you are looking to lose weight or tone up, you need to cancel out the excuses!!

Tell your friends and family about your goals. Telling people about your goals is great, sure it can be a bit embarrassing sometime and it’s easy to be self-conscious about it but telling people adds another level of accountability. If you’ve just told someone you’re going to do something and don’t follow through they can call you out on it or offer some support, either way it will motivate you to keep going.

Try setting goals with your partner or friend. Just having a workout partner or a dieting partner will make things better for everyone. A little encouragement from a workout buddy can make a huge difference!! Pick someone that you enjoy being with and someone that you know will help you when you feel a bit down on yourself. Surround yourself with people that are going to lift you up.

Now go get a notepad and write down all of your goals. Put them into short term, mid and long term. Remember to make them SMART goals, nothing that can’t be measured!! In the moments when you’re at your lowest in energy you can pull out your sheet and read those goals out loud. Remember why you started and what you’re going after. By keeping this in the front of your mind you will be more likely to follow through.

Getting in toned and in shape takes discipline and a full commitment. It’s a decision that you have to make every day. The rewards of being healthy and maintaining an exercise routine are priceless so stay focused, stay motivated and keep going after those results.
